Healthy Game Day Snack Ideas

I’ve been scouring the internet for healthy / clean eating/ Paleo game day snack ideas. We’re going over to a friends on Sunday to watch the game, they are Paleo and I’m a vegetarian. Which makes finding appropriate snacks a challenge, luckily my husband will eat pretty much anything. I’ve also been looking for easy and quick dishes because I have to work part of the day and don’t have the time to be cooking all day.

I plan on making Soft Pretzels and a Beer Cheese dip (not so healthy or paleo, but homemade and oh so good!)

I’ve got some Asparagus in the fridge right now, so roasted asparagus seems like a good idea.

Buffalo Cauliflower as been increasing in popularity, although I haven’t tried it yet. This may be the weekend to do just that!

This Mediterranean Tabbouleh hummus dip looks good too.

Mini Caprese is always a good choice, we even had them at our wedding.

If I had a spiral cutter, I would make Zoodles and this dish.

This skinny chopped veggie salad looks really good!

You also can’t go wrong with a 7 layer salad and my refreshing guacamole.

Refreshing Guacamole
Recipe type: dips
  • Avocado
  • lime
  • sea salt
  1. Cut open the avocado, take out the pit and scoop the contents out into a bowl.
  2. Mash the avocado with a bit of lime juice and sea salt to taste.
  3. Optional: adding garlic powder.
  4. The number of avocados you buy, and mash determines how much guacamole you get, if its just you, one avocado is fine, but for a party, go for about 6 avocados.

Obviously I won’t make all of this, but its a start for ideas. Any other healthy snack ideas?

  1. Cindy says:

Yum indeed! I saw a couple cute snacks; skewers of kiwi and blueberries, and also deviled eggs with green onion strips on top as football laces. Go Hawks!
